LAMONT HARRIS arrested at JFK International Airport in connection with a 2013 animal cruelty case in Pennsylvania

New York authorities have arrested 49-year-old LAMONT HARRIS (pictured) on an outstanding warrant issued by the Lower Swatara Township Police Department, Pennsylvania.

The arrest relates to an animal cruelty incident from 2013.

According to Lower Swatara Township Police Department, back on November 11, 2013, officers received a call reporting that a dog was found bound and dumped in the Swatara Creek near the Vine Street Bridge in Dauphin County.

The dog was rescued by construction employees who were working in the area and thankfully, the furvictim was taken to a local veterinary hospital. Veterinarians determined that the dog had suffered numerous injuries.

An investigation into the incident identified HARRIS as the suspect and he was charged with two counts of animal cruelty.

Twelve years later, when he probably thought he had got away with it, HARRIS was taken into custody. On July 31, 2025, was arrested after being flagged for his warrant on a flight from the Caribbean to John F. Kennedy Airport.

HARRIS is currently awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.

I have reached out to the Lower Swatara Township Police Department to inquire about the dog but at the time of writing, I have not received a response.

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of JAYDAN DEPINA and the rescue of a defenseless cat, victim of DEPINA’s merciless abuse

The Cambridge Police Department arrested JAYDEN DEPINA, of Cambridge.

On July 15, 2025, Cambridge Animal Control received an anonymous complaint according to which a male was spotted abusing a cat behind an apartment building.

Cambridge Animal Control then reached out to MSPCA Law Enforcement and alerted them to the allegations.

MSPCA Law Enforcement Director, Chris Schindler said in a press release that they immediately launched an investigation “and ended up finding video that appears to show the cat falling from an upper floor before it looks like the defendant swings him by his tail and slams him on the ground repeatedly and then brings him back inside.”

As a result of a swift investigation, MSPCA Law Enforcement identified DEPINA as the male seen in the video savagely abusing a defenseless cat unable to dial 911 for help!

Moreover, the agency obtained the furvictim’s surrender, a roughly one-year-old domestic shorthair now named Sage.

Mr. Schindler explained: “We worked overdrive on this, ensuring Sage could start getting treatment as soon as possible, while also working closely with Cambridge Police to secure an arrest.”

MSPCA-Angell said in a Facebook post that Sage was examined and diagnostic imaging revealed the extent of his injuries: “lung contusions, a broken tail, and rib and toe fractures that our team believes occurred four weeks earlier.”

The organization also said that when Sage first arrived on July 21, 2025, he was “shy and shut down” but with time “he’s started to come out of his shell and become social, happy, and loving.”

On July 29, 2025, in Cambridge District Court, DEPINA was arraigned on two counts of animal cruelty and pleaded not guilty.

A spokesperson for MSPCA-Angell tells me that on July 31, 2025, DEPINA “was found dangerous” at the dangerousness hearing and “was held without bail for 120 days.”

Sage underwent a neuter surgery and has been adopted.

On a separate note, according to Mr. Schindler, Sage had been treated at the MSPCA’s Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston in late 2024, when staff was told that he had fallen off a building causing him fractures which at the time were not thought to be the result of abuse.

However, new imaging revealed rib and toe fractures which veterinarians believe Sage sustained at least four weeks prior, if not longer. Mr. Schindler, explained that this is often consistent with abuse.

CHRISTIANNA JEAN MILLER, a veterinary technician, arrested for ruthlessly abandoning one cat and two dogs who were sadly found deceased

During a livestream broadcast on Facebook, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced the arrest of 23-year-old CHRISTIANNA JEAN MILLER (pictured).

On April 15, 2025, a pest control worker, whom I will refer to as Mr. W., was at Marina Isle Apartment Complex at 225 Ligustrum Lane Building D in Merritt Island, to spray the apartments for insects.

According to the affidavit, when Mr. W. entered Apartment 202, he was immediately overwhelmed by “the smell and strong distinct odor of decomposition” emanating from the apartment.

After opening a bedroom, Mr. W. heard hundreds of flies and discovered the decomposed remains of a cat and two dogs.

Mr. W. thankfully alerted the sheriff’s office and an investigation led to MILLER.

Sheriff Ivey identified the cat as Noki and the dogs as Opal and Rudy.

When MILLER was interviewed by investigators, she claimed that “she had paid a pet-sitter to go and take care of them”, said Sheriff Ivey.

MILLER told investigators she had found someone on social media that she paid for taking care of Noki, Opal and Rudy. However, according to Sheriff Ivey, MILLER could not remember the name of the sitter and was unable to provide evidence of payments.

It emerged that Noki, Opal, and Rudy were abandoned in December 2024, before being found dead in April 2025, and that food was left on top of a shelf out of reach!

MILLER, whom Sheriff Ivey rightfully called “despicable, cruel and evil” was arrested on July 30, 2025, and charged with three felony counts of cruelty to animals, three misdemeanor counts of unlawful confinement without sufficient food, water, or exercise, and three misdemeanor counts of abandonment of animals.

Bond was set at $28,500 which MILLER was able to post and was released on July 31, 2025.

Additionally, Sheriff Ivey revealed that MILLER is also linked to a prior dog death in Volusia County and explained the dog was found “completely emaciated and died as a result.”

The sheriff said: “Guess what? They didn’t do anything up in Volusia, but that ain’t gonna happen here in Brevard. We are gonna put her butt in the Brevard County Jail and that’s where she’s gonna sit at.” He went on to say: “I wish I did not have to feed her, the law makes me do the right thing.”
