Not everyone will agree on this.

News outlets report that scientists are looking for 10,000 pets for the “Dog Aging Project.”

This is what the Dog Aging Project’s website says: “The goal of the Dog Aging Project is to understand how genes, lifestyle, and environment influence aging. We want to use that information to help pets and people increase healthspan, the period of life spent free from disease.”

This is what will happen: First of all, dogs’ parents will have to register their furbaby on https://dogagingproject.org/ and then there will be a selection from the dogs who registered.

You cannot register more than one dog.

The project is open to all kinds of dogs, any size, any age, any breed in the 50 states of the United States (excluding US territories).

The parents of the selected dogs will be provided with a kit to sample their dog’s saliva for genetic testing.

They may have to complete special activities with their dog and report back on their performance.

This means that the dogs who will participate in the study, will remain in their home with their families, live their day-to-day life, and see their regular vet.

Owners of some dogs will also be asked to visit nearby veterinary specialists for certain tests.

This study will take place in the U.S. but if you live outside the U.S. and are interested in the project, you can visit: https://darwinsark.org/

The Dog Aging Project is supported by U19 grant AG057377 from the National Institute on Aging, a part of the National Institutes of Health, and by private donations.

Are you in favor of this or against it?

Hurricane Dorian generated a mini tsunami on September 6, causing dozens of horses and cows to be swept to sea from their home on Cedar Island, North Carolina.

Cape Lookout National Seashore wrote on their Facebook page that one cow was found alive right after the storm and she has now been joined by two more who have been found also alive and roaming on a neighboring island which makes up a chain known as the Outer Banks.

Sadly, it is believed most of the livestock died in the storm.

Officials believe that the cattle successfully swam through miles of stormy waters.

Mr. BG Horvat, spokesman for Cape Lookout said that the cows will probably have to be sedated and returned to Cedar Island by boat.

For now, he said that trio are grazing peacefully together on federal grass.

On Saturday, November 9, a man was walking his dog in the 800 block of Division Avenue, Northeast, when he was approached by two individuals in a burgundy 2017 Kia Forte.

The driver slowed down and asked him if he was selling his dog.

The man responded that his dog was not for sale.

The driver and the passenger got out of the car, pointed a gun at the man and said: “It’s our dog now.” These despicable individuals grabbed the pup and drove off.

The furbaby the police are looking for is a four-month-old Red Nose Pit bull named L.A.

He is wearing a blue collar, a rabies vaccination tag and his name was also on the tag.

There is a reward of $1,000 in exchange for information leading to the identification and arrest of the two men who took L.A.

If you can help please contact D.C. Police on (202) - 727 – 9099.

Let’s get L.A. back home!

Thank you!
