YOLANDA VALENCIA JONES arrested for abandoning injured horse

- Mobile, Alabama, USA -


Mobile Police were looking for 34-year-old YOLANDA VALENCIA JONES and she eventually turned herself in on Thursday, November 7.


Police say that JONES was transporting a horse in a trailer when his legs broke through the floor, hit the roadway and JONES kept on driving.


Eventually she stopped, tied the severely injured horse to a tree on private property and drove off. This happened on October 31.


Police were called by the owners of the property where the horse was left abandoned in the 700 block of Saint Francis Street.


A veterinarian was also called in, Dr. Patrick First, who was forced to euthanize the poor animal who lost a lot of blood and suffered life-threatening injuries.


His back legs were broken and he was not able to stand.


YOLANDA JONES was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.

She’s already bonded out of jail.
