YEMEENA ANDERSON arrested for leaving her cats in a car for several days in frigid temperatures

- New York, USA -

Following an investigation by the Albany Police Special Operations Unit, 18-years-old YEMEENA ANDERSON was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

ANDERSON is accused of leaving her cats in her car for several days.

From the investigation it emerged that on the afternoon of Saturday, December 10, 2022, ANDERSON had left a 6-month-old male kitten and a 1-year-old female cat locked inside of her car on Livingston Avenue and Terminal Street “for several days despite frigid temperatures.”

In a press release, Albany Police said that “both cats were dehydrated, malnourished and covered in both their own urine and feces.”

Both furbabies were evaluated by a veterinarian at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society where they currently remain.

I have emailed the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society to inquire about the cats’ well-being and requested the names and the pictures of the VOICELESS VICTIMS but Marguerite Pearson, Director of Marketing and Communications, responded: “As this is part of an ongoing investigation, we are unable to share any addition info about the case.”

ANDERSON was charged with two counts of animal cruelty and is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Albany City Criminal Court.
