Clearwater Police Department PIO told me in an email: “We don’t have a photo of the dog, nor we do know an exact age. Sorry. We had heard it was “about:” 18 years old.”
~ Original story:
On Sunday, May 15, officers with the Clearwater Police Department arrested 33-years-old TYLER ALLEN CREVASSE (pictured) after he admitted to burying his father’s dog while he was still alive.
The furbaby, an older Poodle mix named Fuzzy, was later found in the location indicated by CREVASSE. Sadly, Fuzzy was found lifeless.
The Department said in a news release that CREVASSE “laughed as he recounted how he wrapped the dog” in a wet blanket and then buried him.
CREVASSE was confronted by his father about what he did to Fuzzy, and CREVASSE hit his father in the nose twice.
CREVASSE was taken to the Pinellas County Jail on one count of animal cruelty and one count of domestic battery.
Online arrest records maintained by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office show that CREVASSE is still in custody.
I have also checked CREVASSE’s court records and a court order dated May 15, 2022, reads: “DEFENDANT SHALL BE ALLOWED A ONE TIME RESIDENTIAL VISIT
IN THE PRESENCE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR RETRIEVAL OF PERSONAL BELONGINGS.”
An additional court order also dated May 15, 2022, reads: “DEFENDANT SHALL BE OUTFITTED WITH A GPS MONITOR BY THE PINELLAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. CONDITIONS OF RELEASE ON GPS MONITORING ARE: DEFENDANT IS TO REMAIN 1000 FEET AWAY FROM THE VICTIM'S PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, RESIDENCE, PLACE OF WORSHIP, EDUCATION FACILITY OF VICTIM (IF ANY) AND EDUCATION FACILITY OR DAY CARE OF VICTIM'S CHILDREN, IF ANY. DEFENDANT MAY REPORT TO WORK, SCHOOL AND ANY APPOINTMENTS WITH HIS/HER ATTORNEY AND MAY SCHEDULE GROCERY STORE SHOPPING PER COURT AS A CONDITION OF THE GPS MONITORING.”
I have emailed Clearwater Police Department Chief Daniel W. Slaughter and requested a picture of Fuzzy.
I will add it to the article should I receive it.

I feel so terrible for that poor dog. 18 years of sweet devotion, then to have that suffocating horror visited upon him, an innocent. This heinous effer needs to get what he deserves, a wet blanket and a waiting hole. SICK. People like this don't deserve life. I had a miniature poodle that attacked someone trying to beat me, put himself in the way of harm, and that was a selfless act, he was an absolute hero. A dog is better than this human POS. Wow. What an a**hole. Get on it, Karma. Sick 'im.
What an absolute loser this idiot appears to be! I hope the smirk was slapped off his putrid face! When he gets old Karma would dictate that no one be there to wipe his ugly mug or change his diaper! RIP FUZZY.
