The Mercer Island Police Department is investigating a case of animal cruelty caught on video

- Washington, USA -

I am very upset with the Mercer Island Police Department.

On Tuesday, November 24, a video circulated online showing a male punching and kicking a dog.

The incident happened into a parking lot in the 7800 block of SE 30th Street and it was captured by a firm’s Ring security camera.

Footage shows a black Mercedes SUV pulling into the empty parking lot, and a male comes out of the vehicle with a white dog.

The male then starts striking the furbaby with the leash.

At some point he quickly picks up the furbaby and throws him/her away from the vehicle and continues to beat the dog and kicked him/her once.

The Mercer Island Police Department Tweeted that they were aware of the video and were investigating the incident.

Police have not released the name of the abuser.

Police are not saying whether the abuser is the dog’s guardian.

Police are not saying what prompted this scum to abuse the furbaby (no reason justifies his vile actions anyway!)

King County Regional Animal Services executed a search warrant as part of the investigation and seized the dog, but they are not disclosing the breed.

Anyone who has information about the incident that took place was asked to contact King County animal control officials are asking anyone with information related to this case to call (206) - 296 - 7387 and refer to case #20-015043. Thank you.
