TEQUSHA WILLIAMS said she found an emaciated dog on Interstate 691 but police say the dog was hers

- Connecticut, USA -

On February 24, authorities charged by warrant 35-year-old TEQUSHA WILLIAMS with animal cruelty.

According to myrecordjournal.com, on January 19, WILLIAMS went to Pieper Veterinary Hospital and dropped off a dog who was severely emaciated and hypothermic.

WILLIAMS told staff she had found the furbaby, a Maltese-type dog, on Interstate 691 near exit 7.

Thankfully, the hospital staff alerted the police who opened an investigation.

Police conducted interviews, gathered photos from social media and it turned out that WILLIAMS was the furbaby’s guardian.

WILLIAMS, of 122 Willow Street Apartment 1B, in Meriden, was released on $15,000 bond.

She is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on March 12, 2021.

As for the furbaby, myrecordjournal.com reports that he/she is responding well to treatment.
