The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of 65-year-old SHARON ANN WARD (pictured below).
Deputies responded to a report about five dogs who had never “received medical treatment(s) or any shots of any kind.”
Deputies then obtained and served a search warrant for WARD’s home in the Danese area.
The search led to the discovered of forty-seven (47) additional dogs, and three cats.
The poor furbabies were found to be living in deplorable conditions and had no food or water.
WARD was arrested and booked on May 25, on fifty-five (55) counts of animal cruelty.
Online records show bond was set at $10,000.
She will now await court proceedings.
