On Monday, December 6, the male who bludgeoned to death two innocent puppies in April 2021, 20-years-old SEBASTIAN ACOSTA (pictured below) pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 ½ years in prison.

WFAA reports that Jeremy Boss, of the Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission, decided to name the VOICELESS VICTIMS Angel and Sky.

Mr. Boss told WFAA: “Even six and a half years, it doesn't seem like long enough. But I tell people all the time we gotta [sic] hit the moon before we shoot for the stars. You will pay for animal cruelty in the City of Dallas, eventually. You may not get caught the first time but we will catch you.”

While many people look at this sentence as a victory and a celebration, Dallas Animal Advisory Commission's Stephanie Hanson said: “I think we need to change the narrative. It shouldn't even be a celebration. It should be that's a normal. The celebration is when the public starts standing up and saying, ‘we're not [accepting] this anymore’.”

A filthy murderer that Dallas Police were looking for is now in custody.

KWTX reports that officers with Dallas Police Animal Cruelty Unit arrested 20-year-old SEBASTIAN ACOSTA (pictured below), at midnight on April 9.

ACOSTA is accused of killing two Pyrenees-type puppies by physical assault.

On Wednesday, April 7, surveillance video captured ACOSTA at the 2400 block of Dowdy Ferry Road.

Footage shows ACOSTA get out of a silver Ford F150 pickup carrying two puppies to a field with a log under his arm.

He returned to the truck without the puppies and drove off.

Dallas police said the puppies were beaten to death.

WFAA reports that “The owner of the surveillance camera called police later that day. Police said the area is known for illegal dumping and other offenses because of its remote location and low traffic.”

After police put out a bulletin on the incident, they received tips and phone calls about the suspect's identity that ultimately made possible ACOSTA’s arrest.

Authorities said: “This is a great example of the community and police working together to help solve and prevent crime.”

The murderer is being held at Lew Sterrett jail on third degree felony cruelty to non-livestock torture/kill.

According to WFAA, when asked at the news conference what the reason for the killing was, ACOSTA said he could no longer care for the puppies.

Authorities took into protective custody a third dog who was seen in the back of the vehicle.

Penalties for a third degree felony range from only 2 to only 10 years in prison and no more than $10,000 in fines.

Voice For Us wants to send a heartfelt appeal to the District Attorney who will prosecute this case and to the judge who will preside over it: SEBASTIAN ACOSTA took two innocent lives.

If those puppies had been human beings, SEBASTIAN ACOSTA would be facing murder charges.

There is no difference between the heart that beats in a person and the heart that beats in an animal.

Animals cannot go down in the streets holding signs that read: “Stop killing us!”

You lawmakers, judges, and prosecutors are going to have to send that message loud and clear. You have the power to do it so do it!
