SARAH GRACE POWELL arrested for abusing a puppy, then throwing the dog at an officer

- Oklahoma, USA -

The Tulsa Police Department said that on the afternoon of December 31, 2021, Mingo Valley officers were called out to 8th and Sheridan about a woman who had been witnessed kicking and dragging a small puppy.

Police later identified the woman as 30-years-old SARAH GRACE POWELL (pictured below).

According to a release, the witnesses followed POWELL and when they tried to intervene and stop the abuse, POWELL threatened them.

Once on the scene, an officer stopped POWELL and while explaining why he was there, a very argumentative POWELL tossed the puppy at the officer before trying to get away, stated the release.

The release goes on to say: “Fortunately, the officer caught the puppy and his backing officers arrived to assist with capturing the suspect.”

Despite POWELL resisting arrest, officers took her into custody and the trashy female is now facing:

· Cruelty to Animals AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony)

· Obstruction/Interfere with an Officer

· Threatening a Violent Act

Online records show that POWELL is still in custody.

As for the VOICELESS VICTIM, police said he suffered some minor injuries, including some scrapes and cuts on his feet and stomach. The furbaby was placed with the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare for treatment and care.

Police also said that the witnesses on the scene told them they were planning to adopt the puppy.

On an unrelated issue, I learned from 9 News that this isn’t POWELL’s first run-in with the law. In fact, back in 2017, POWELL served 8 months of the 2 years prison sentence for second degree burglary. In December 2021, POWELL also pleaded guilty for stealing a car and received a 4-year suspended sentence.
