RUBEN ESCOBEDO accused of throwing dog against motor home causing him a limp

- California, USA -

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said that 47-year-old RUBEN ESCOBEDO was arrested for throwing a dog into the side of a motor home, shattering a glass window in the process.

On the afternoon of Sunday, March 28, the Sheriff’s Office received a call about a person who abused a dog.

Deputies were dispatched near the 8200 block of Ilex Street in an unincorporated area of Fontana.

Upon arrival they learned that ESCOBEDO grabbed a dog and threw him into the window of a motor home for no apparent reason, said the Sheriff's Department.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the furbaby, a 9-year-old mixed breed named Bugs, was dragged and suffered an injury that resulted in a limp.

Bugs’ guardian has previously used him as a service dog.

California News Times reports that ESCOBEDO, of Duarte, was located a short distance away and placed under arrest.

He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center for animal cruelty and post-liberation community supervision (PRCS) violations.

Online records show that ESCOBEDO is scheduled to appear at Rancho Superior Court on April 1, 2021.
