The Hilltown Township Police Department have arrested 28-years-old RONY ARTURO GARCIA (pictured below).
GARCIA is accused of murdering a dog in 2018. He was finally taken into custody on January 12, 2022.
On February 3, 2018, police were called to a home on the 1400 block of Route 113, Perkasie, about “a male subject threatening members of the household, and who had possibly killed the family’s pet dog.”
According to The Mercury, responding officers saw several large pools of blood in the home.
The blood was from the furbaby; none of the family members were injured.
The VOICELESS VICTIM, a 15-month-old Mountain Cur, was found dead in a ditch near the house. Severe head trauma wounds were visible on the dog.
A carpenter’s claw hammer was later found inside the home.
The dog was then taken to Bucks County SPCA for a necropsy and results showed the furbaby had multiple skull fractures as a result of blunt force trauma.
GARCIA was identified as being the individual responsible for killing the innocent dog and on February 9, 2018, Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage issued a felony arrest warrant for aggravated cruelty to animals-causing serious bodily injury or death.
At the time, authorities reached out to the public seeking assistance in locating GARCIA and they feared GARCIA might be attempting to flee to Honduras, his home country.
According to a news release of January 24, 2022, GARCIA was arrested “on or about June 1st. 2021 by Village of Monroe Police Department (New York). He was then later transported to Bucks County Correctional Facility.”
It’s not clear whether or not GARCIA ever fled the U.S.
GARCIA was arraigned on January 12, 2022, and Bucks County District Judge Mark Douple committed him to the Bucks County Correctional Institution in lieu of 10 percent of $15,000 bail.
Online court records show GARCIA was unable to post bail.
The murderer is scheduled to appear before District Judge Regina Armitage on the early afternoon of Tuesday, February 15, 2022, for a preliminary hearing.
The murderer will be defended by attorney Michael Kevin Parlow of Parlow & Lang LLC, Bensalem, PA.
Who will be speaking for the VOICELESS VICTIM?
