RONALD FRANKLIN BOLES convicted and sentenced for animal cruelty

- Maryland, USA -

On February 23, 2022, the Honorable Abigail H. Marsh, Associate Judge of the District Court of Maryland serving Wicomico County, sentenced 61-years-old RONALD FRANKLIN BOLES (pictured below) to ninety (90) days incarceration to be served in the Wicomico County Detention Center.

BOLES, of Eden, pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty.

Additionally, Judge Marsh found BOLES in violation of probation afforded him in August 2021, and sentenced him to an additional forty-seven (47) days to be served consecutively.

As stated by Eastern Shore Undercover, “Currently, the maximum penalty for misdemeanor animal cruelty is ninety (90) days of incarceration. Maryland Law does not provide subsequent offender enhancements for repeat offenders of animal cruelty.”

BOLES’s sentence concludes an investigation which began on November 18, 2020, when the Wicomico County Humane Society received two complaints about a trailer that appeared abandoned with animals inside.

Director Kim Nock along with Animal Control Officers and members of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and inside the trailer they found a black and tan Coonhound dog named Ruger whose ribs were showing.

Animal Control questioned BOLES about Ruger’s condition, and then removed the furbaby and took him to the Humane Society for treatment. Officials said Ruger weighed 41 pounds.

Over the course of a month during which Ruger received medical care and food, Ruger reached a weight of 60 pounds and was later adopted.

For this case, BOLES pleaded guilty to two counts of animal cruelty on August 9, 2021, and was sentenced to 60 days of incarceration to be served on home detention, followed by three years of probation.

While on probation, BOLES would be prevented from owning, possessing, or living with animals.

BOLES, however, totally disregarded this condition!

In fact, three days later, on August 12, the Wicomico County Humane Society once again received a complaint of a trailer that appeared abandoned with an animal inside.

Responding officers located the trailer that had the door open and inside the trailer was a dog. The trailer was deemed unfit to be occupied by humans or animals, so the furbaby, a brown Redbone Bloodhound named Rocky, was removed.

The sentence of 90 days incarceration mentioned at the beginning, refers to this second offense.

This appears to be intentional. This sadistic monster locks a defenseless dog inside an abandoned dilapidated tin can, gets caught, released on probation then within 3 days repeats his sadistic act again! This POS is not mental, he just plain cruel! Lock him away & then Maryland must change their laws to punish these cruel violators to more than just 90 days! Get better Precious Souls.

If they won't put 'em in mental institutions then lock 'em away for a long time, then I wish these fucks would just get murdered in jail. I get it, there's no room in the mental institutions for all these freaks and who wants to deal with them? But then why should all of us normal civilians and taxpayers have to pay for pieces of worthless shit like this? GET THEM OUT OF HERE!! LOOK AT THIS WEIRD-ASS WORTHLESS FUCK!!
