ROBIN PENNINGTON charged after puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats rescued from poor health conditions

- Georgia, USA -

On July 2, the Animal Control Unit with Clayton County Police Department responded to a home in the 1200 block of Trahlyta Terrace in Lake City to investigate a complaint about animal hoarding.

Lake City PD was also called in.

Inside the home, animal control officers had to face the horrible odors, a flea infestation, and animal feces all over the home while trying to rescue the animals, and it was necessary for them to wear personal protective equipment for the hazmat conditions.

Officers discovered forty-five puppies/dogs and eleven kittens/cats.

According to a news release by the Clayton County Police Department, officers were on the scene for almost seven hours to remove and process all the furry victims.

Multiple dogs were found to be suffering from mange and other severe health conditions.

The shelter caring for all the furbabies is already over capacity, so they are calling on rescue groups to help house them.

Once the furbabies complete their medical treatment they will be available for adoption.

The Lake City Police Department arrested ROBIN PENNINGTON (pictured below) and charged her with aggravated animal cruelty.
