ROBERT ALFRED DUNBAR arrested on animal cruelty and animal neglect charges

- Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA -

On October 16, Shippensburg Police were called to a property on East Burd Street for an animal cruelty complaint.

Responding officers found a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix locked in a wire cage hidden in a shed.

The pooch had no access to water and food.

Officers said the poor dog was so malnourished that his ribs were showing and there were fresh wounds near his tail.

He also appeared to be stressed.

21-year-old ROBERT ALFRED DUNBAR was arrested and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty and animal neglect.

Officers suspect that the furbaby was left in that condition for many days.

They removed the dog and transported him to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter where he is receiving medical care.

Penn Live reports that according to the criminal report, DUNBAR’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 2, before District Judge H. Anthony Adams.
