MORGAN AMELIA BRIGHT arrested following an investigation into abandoned animals

- Florida, USA -

On January 31, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-years-old MORGAN AMELIA BRIGHT (pictured below) as a result of a disturbing investigation.

NBC2 reports that BRIGHT was evicted from her apartment in the Villas Del Sol complex and left behind two dogs and a cat living in trash and feces.

When Charlotte County Sheriff’s Deputies went to BRIGHT’s home on July 28, 2021, they discovered two dogs and a cat. One dog named Cash was found in the master bedroom and was in very poor condition. The other dog, a Pitbull named Riddick, and the cat were sadly found lifeless.

As reported by SNN News, Cash was found dehydrated, malnourished, had wounds around his body, and was loaded with fleas. The poor soul was so hungry “he was eating the flesh and bones off of Riddick's body.”

According to neighbors, BRIGHT had only been at the home a handful of times.

Charlotte County Animal Control Officer Matthew Meredith said: “ And because we were not able to get a necropsy for Riddick, we, unfortunately, are not 100% sure how long he had been deceased, which would have given us a little more of an indication on how long the animals were actually left alone.”

The State Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and subsequently decided to bring five charges of animal abuse against BRIGHT.

BRIGHT is now facing two counts of animal cruelty, two counts of animal abandonment, and one count of unlawful disposal of dead animals.

Her bond is set at $26,000 and online records show she is still in custody.

After being removed from the hellish place, Cash was taken to an animal hospital in Punta Gorda. He was treated, rehabilitated, and has since found a new home!

I don't know how I started getting these emails/alerts, but I can hardly take reading these stories, anymore. My heart is sick. Judy is correct...........leave this inhuman piece of fecal matter in jail where she belongs. I wish for a world where these cruel & inhuman demons are put to death as the useless menace to all of society, human & animal, which they are. They do not deserve to live. It may be time for us to take these matters into our hands, seeing as God does not intervene and leaves it up to us to make our own choices. If they are given the free will to commit these unspeakable acts of cruelty, I feel we sho…

Hi Amy! It is so refreshing to meet another animal lover & protector! It builds my confidence in the human race. Especially after reading these horrible stories (that must be told) involving the worst of the worst of the human race & the cruelty they are capable of toward animals. Bless you & all animals.

Yup..another selfish POS that calls herself a human abandoning three Precious souls not giving a damn that they would likely starve to death. And she’s only charged with one felony! I hope she stays in jail so she can live the experience of being ‘caged’ & at the will of humans to feed her. Of course they will, it’s the humane thing to do, something she definitely lacks. RIP RIDDICK & KITTY, please get better CASH!
