MIGUEL FLORES turned himself in after a witness saw him beating one of his dogs with a metal chain

- Ann Arundel County, Maryland, USA -

On Sunday, January 26, Arundel County police were called about a report of an abused dog.

Responding officers went to a property in the 100 block of Janelin Drive in Glen Burnie to investigate.

A witness told officers that 53-year-old MIGUEL FLORES (pictured below), beat his German Shepherd with a metal chain causing the poor dog to yelp in pain.

Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control officers were contacted and responded to the scene.

They took custody of three dogs at the residence and took them to Animal Care & Control for care and treatment.

FLORES eventually turned himself in at the Northern District station where he was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty.

Many thanks to the person who reported this act of animal cruelty.

It’s important to keep an eye on our neighbor’s pets and report any episode of animal abuse.
