MICHAEL SHAWN MARSHALL arrested after his two dogs were found severely emaciated

- Florida, USA -

On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 22, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey went live on Facebook after an arrest was made in an animal cruelty case and he was about to walk the arrestee to jail.

The video shows Sheriff Ivey holding two pictures of two dogs so emaciated that their ribs, hips and spines protruded from their bodies.

As Sheriff Ivey was showing the pictures, he said: “I’m gonna show you exactly what Michael Marshall did.”

Sheriff Ivey said that a worker who was conducting pest control at a home on Skylark Avenue in Merritt Island noticed the dogs and wanted to alert the sheriff’s office, but 29-years-old MICHAEL SHAWN MARSHALL (pictured below) told him not to.

Thankfully, the worker called the sheriff’s office and reported what he saw.

Sheriff Ivey said another citizen also called to report MARSHALL.

In the video, Sheriff Ivey can be heard telling MARSHALL: “Mr. Marshall, I guess you did not get the memo about you don’t hurt an animal.”

The Sheriff concluded the video saying: “He’s in jail, right where he belongs.”

MARSHALL was charged with two counts of felony animal cruelty.

Sheriff Ivey said the dogs were picked up and are “being well-nourished” and are “in great care now.”

I do admire Sheriff Ivey and where he stands on animal cruelty.

However, I have to say this - Sheriff, make sure the judges in Brevard County got the memo that animal cruelty is not tolerated, because too many judges are still handing down lenient sentences!!!

The memo is not just for the abusers, it’s also for prosecutors and judges who should NOT accept any deals under any circumstances!!!

You see something, you say something!!!
