KEVIN ALEXANDER BENJAMIN, Miami DJ who goes by DJ KB, arrested and charged with animal cruelty with intent to injure or kill

The City of Miami Police Department arrested 27-year-old KEVIN ALEXANDER BENJAMIN, a musician who goes by DJ KB.
Miami-Dade County Animal Services were alerted to the concerning condition of a small, malnourished gray-and-white French Bulldog on a balcony at ParkLine Miami.
A video that went viral on social media showed the dog walking in his own feces and urine.
Officers responded to the luxury high-rise and were thankfully able to rescue the dog.
Journalist Caterina Balzano personally went to Miami-Dade County Animal Services to inquire about the dog’s well-being. However, as she explained in a reel shared on her Facebook page, no information could be released because the investigation was ongoing.
According to Caterina, Animal Services said the dog, whom she referred to as Dior, was in their custody and “is good and stable.”
On September 25, 2026, BENJAMIN, Dior’s guardian, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty with intent to injure or kill.
BENJAMIN was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and released after posting a $5,000 bond.
Miami Police Chief Edwin Lopez took to Instagram to thank those who shared the video, which he also shared.
Chief Lopez said:

Most recently, this community helped bring attention to a heartbreaking animal abuse case involving a severely malnourished dog, which ultimately led to an arrest!
