JOHN TRAFFORD sentenced to twenty weeks in jail after abusing his dog in May

- Wales -

39-year-old JOHN TRAFFORD (pictured below), has now been sentenced in connection with an animal cruelty case that happened on May 19, 2020.

TRAFFORD swung his dog, a French Bulldog, above his head by the leash and then slammed the furbaby into the ground. When the defenseless dog was on the ground, TRAFFORD kicked and punched the poor soul.

BBC reports that TRAFFORD, of Lon Olwen, Kinmel Bay, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to his dog.

At Llandudno Magistrates' Court, district judge Gwyn Jones sentenced TRAFFORD to 20 weeks in jail and banned him from keeping dogs for 15 years.

The judge said the "extent of the violence" justified the jail term.

Judge Jones added that TRAFFORD’s violence towards the animal had been "deliberate and gratuitous" and said: “No doubt the dog was terrified and was in significant pain as a result of your behavior.”

According to TRAFFORD’s defense attorney, his client made no attempt to try and excuse his behavior and remained ‘'appalled” by it.

Thankfully, the furbaby was placed with another local family.

As I was searching for more information about this human trash, hoping to find pictures of the furbaby, I came across an article by the Daily Post of October 2017, which reported that TRAFFORD had been arrested and jailed for three years for burglary.

The news outlets wrote: “A drug addicted burglar who stole to feed his habit has been jailed for three years.”

TRAFFORD admitted to stealing cash and jewelry from an elderly woman’s property on more than once occasion.

Why is he let out each time?
