On the early afternoon of Monday, January 31, Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies went to a home in Holden Heights after a call to 911 reporting a case of animal abuse.
Deputies talked to a man who told them that his dog had been shot by his brother, 56-years-old JOHN HAWKINS (pictured below).
The man explained to deputies that HAWKINS had been “messing around” with the dog before shooting him/her and claimed the dog had bitten him.
According to a witness, HAWKINS was drunk, yelled at the dog, and threatened to kill the furbaby.
The witness also told deputies that HAWKINS stood in front of the dog’s cage and shot him/her at “point-blank” range.
HAWKINS, of Orlando, was charged with one count of felony cruelty to animals, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and possession of a weapon in commission of a felony.
The murderer was booked into the Orange County Jail where he repeatedly stated he had shot the dog.
Online records show HAWKINS was released after posting bond.
I have emailed the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and requested additional information about the VOICELESS VICTIM.
Unfortunately, the report did not have the specific information I needed.

If I were a dog, I'd bite him, too! Poor dog was kept in a cage, besides. I'm not a fan of caging pets. The only comforting thought is the dog is at peace, now, and safe from these horrible "people" (?)
Look into this murderer‘s eyes…soulless monster! Bad a** bully shoots a defenseless dog whilst he‘s kenneled. That is the epitome of a scared little s***. My blood is boiling again! RIP POOR PRECIOUS SOUL.
