~ Original story:

On the night of Wednesday, October 20, Humane Police Officer Eric Duckett with The ANNA Shelter was called out to assist PA State Police regarding two dead dogs discovered at Eaton Reservoir near the PA/NY State line.

The ANNA Shelter (Association for Needy and Neglected Animals), an Erie-based nonprofit, wrote in a Facebook post that it is believed the dogs had been walked into shallow water and shot in the face.

While investigating the area, a third lifeless dog was found floating in the water.

The pictures police took of the victims are so gruesome that they are not being shared with the public.

All three furbabies were wearing collars which are typically used for dogfighting and were described as a black female Pitbull, a brown female Pitbull, and a brown male intact Pitbull.

The ANNA Shelter wrote: “Evidence gathered at the scene leads us to believe these were fighting dogs disposed of by a method commonly used by dog fighters.

According to the shelter, the dogs had been shot in the muzzle/face area and left to die in the water, and they all were covered in punctures and scars typical of dogs who have been involved in dogfighting.

If you have information regarding this case, please come forward and speak up for the VOICELESS VICTIMS. Whoever took those precious lives is not entitled to freedom and deserves to be behind bars.

The ANNA Shelter will be filing charges if they can find some good leads, including dog fighting and animal cruelty. So, let’s help them find those who murdered the three innocent Pitbulls.

Please, contact Officer Eric Duckett at (814) - 451 - 0230 or email him to submit your tips. Thank you!
