Investigation underway after the discovery of dozens of decapitated animals

- Texas - New Mexico, USA -

The El Paso Police Department launched an investigation after dozens of decapitated animals were found near the Dyer Street and Railroad Drive intersection in the northeast of El Paso.

Someone who lives nearby made the gruesome discovery on Sunday, May 9.

The carcasses of the poor animals were found inside a bag after being beheaded and gutted.

Captain Ray Spears, a game warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department told KVIA.com.: “It did not look like the portions for eating were removed from the goats. The bodies seem intact. Satanic rituals, blood removal, possibly. Not a common occurrence to see that many goats dumped like that.”

From an update by KTSM I have just learned that investigators with the El Paso Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Investigative Unit said the animals found slain on Sunday were killed in New Mexico so the case is now being turned over to the New Mexico authorities.

The police didn't elaborate with any further details.
