- Orlando, Florida, USA -

On Thursday early morning, January 23, a fire broke out at a breeder’s home on Bay Lake Road near John Young Parkway.

19 dogs were killed. The breeder, Marcia Mobley, has saved some of the dogs while others were outside at the time of the fire.

Firefighters were called at 5:15 a.m.

They said the fire was contained to one room and likely caused by an air handler.

Crews revived nine puppies and six adult dogs.

The surviving pups were taken to the John Young Animal Hospital to be examined.

ClickOrlando.com reports that Mobley has been in business for over 20 years and that she has bred dogs for Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyers and Orange County School Board Chair Teresa Jacobs.
