Ex-con JASON PAUL HAVELT, arrested after videos showed him having sex with his dogs

Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office have arrested 42-years-old JASON PAUL HAVELT (pictured below) on animal cruelty and other charges.
The sheriff’s office said in a news release that in November 2021, deputies received tips of animal abuse and cruelty. A USB drive provided to the FCSO and Frederick County Animal Control, showed photos of HAVELT performing sexual acts on his dogs.
On Thursday, March 17, deputies executed a search warrant on a property in the 4300 block of Ijamsville Road, Ijamsville and placed HAVELT under arrest.
The sheriff’s office said that through further forensic examinations of three cell phones seized from HAVELT, detectives found more images and videos of animal abuse.
Electronic devices found at the home, contained videos of child pornography, including acts with animals.
Furthermore, detectives also found images of HAVELT pictured in his home with multiple weapons including rifles, shotguns, and handguns.
HAVELT, “a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning firearms”, stated the release.
FOX Baltimore reports that according to court records, the animal abuse took place between October 1, 2021, and January 1, 2022.
HAVELT was charged with:
• Seven counts of aggravated cruelty to an animal
• Child porn with the intent to promote/distribute
• Possession of child pornography
• Firearm possession with a felony conviction
• Illegal possession of ammunition
• Illegal possession of a regulated firearm
• Two counts of rifle/shotgun in possession with a felony conviction
• Two counts of possessing a rifle/shotgun being convicted of a disqualifying crime
HAVELT was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
