Dog remains found buried in a Milwaukee home backyard

- Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA -

Milwaukee police received a tip that human remains were buried in the yard of a property.

On Tuesday, October 8, deputies served a search warrant to a home near N.24 Place and W. Glandale Avenue.

Investigators with the Wisconsin Department of Justice also responded to the scene to assist the police.

A crowd formed around the property when police showed up armed with a metal detector, shovels and a pickax.

A black tarp was put up to stop curious neighbors from seeing what was going on.

One of the neighbors, Ms. Qualaundra Carr had a clear view from the upstairs level of her home and shot a video.

After hours of digging, no human remains were found.

Police recovered the remains of a dog.

Two people were taken into custody for criminal charges related to this animal cruelty case.

Police deemed the property unfit for living due to the amount of debris inside of it.

The home was boarded up.
