Dog named Simba is back home with his family after disappearing for three long years

- Alabama, USA -

"Never give up on your pets! Never! I never gave up on mine, and you shouldn't give up on yours."

That is what Ms. Debra Easley said after her dream came true.

Three years ago, in her Prichard home her dog named Simba left through a gate that was left open and never went back.

Debra told NBC 15 that on Friday evening, January 31, her granddaughter said: “Oh, grandma, guess what! I know where Simba is!'"

Debra got in her truck and drove to a house in Prichard where she saw her furbaby chained in the yard wearing the same red collar he was wearing when he disappeared.

Simba was skinny, he had scars on his rump, and was nursing an injured paw.

At that point Debra told the person in the property that Simba was hers and she could prove it because he was microchipped. The person just said: “Take him!”

Simba followed his mom to the vehicle and returned where he belonged, with his family.

Debra’s grandchild Craig was 3 years old when Simba disappeared and every day he has been asking everyone: “Where is Simba?”

His mother Jonique said it has been hard on him.

He was devastated because he and Simba were inseparable.

I am truly happy for you guys but please do not leave furbabies and children unsupervised.

You never know who might try to harm them.
