Dog found wandering on Gratiot Avenue

- Michigan, USA -

Eastpointe Police Animal Control Division posted on their Facebook page that a dog was found on Wednesday, September 4, wandering on Gratiot Avenue between Eight Mile and Nine Mile roads and was not wearing a collar.

Chief Brian Pylar of Eastpoint Police Animal Control contacted the Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue regarding this helpless soul and the nonprofit immediately took him in to give him medical care. The furbaby has been named Saint.

As you can see from the X-ray picture, his spine is completely misaligned which suggests that Saint has possibly been kept in a small cage for an extensive period of time.

When Saint was found he was bleeding from multiple areas of his body and he still has multiple wounds on his legs which require sutures. His body is small and underdeveloped.

If you recognize Saint, if you have any information regarding the person(s) who might have inflicted this torture on him, please speak up! Please call animal control Officer Brian Pylar on (586) - 445 - 5100 ext. 1035. Thank you!
