Dog found decapitated by railroad tracks and Fort Payne Police are looking for suspects

- Alabama, USA -

Fort Payne Police needs our help with the investigation of a horrific act of animal cruelty.

Chief Randy Bynum has also posted the appeal on the Department’s Facebook page.

On Wednesday, March 18, Fort Payne Police took an animal cruelty report at the Alabama Walking Park in Fort Payne.

A family reported their dog named Buster missing.

As they were looking for Buster in the area, some people told them that there were possibly 2 teenage boys on the railroad tracks who had a dog matching Buster’s description.

When Buster’s family went to take a look, they made a gruesome and heartbreaking discovery.

According to the police’s Facebook post, “Buster had been possibly tied to the tracks and ran over by a train. The rope had been removed and the decapitated dog was left on the tracks.”

The Department wrote that the crime possibly occurred sometime between Tuesday afternoon, March 17, and Wednesday.

If anyone saw these two suspects or has information related to this crime, PLEASE, come forward and speak up. Give Buster a voice. He deserves justice and whoever did this to him needs to be severely punished!!!

Please call the CID tip line at (256) - 844 - 6053 and leave a message. Thank you!
