DEQWAN KADALE GREEN and DA JHANAH TY KI BRYANT arrested on animal cruelty charges

On the afternoon of Friday, November 5, Pitt County Sheriff's Deputies went to a home on 1049 Old Snow Hill Road in Grifton to assist Pitt County Animal Control who were investigating a complaint.


Officials found one dead dog tied to a tree in the yard.

Three other dogs were found alive but apparently emaciated and in poor health.


Animal Control removed the live furbabies along with the remains of the deceased one.


A press release obtained by Voice For Us stated that warrants were obtained for the home residents 24-years-old DEQWAN KADALE GREEN and 21-years-old DA JHANAH TY KI BRYANT (both pictured below) who were then arrested on Saturday, November 6.


The duo were charged with one count of felony cruelty to animals and three counts of misdemeanor cruelty to animals.


Online records show GREEN was released after posting a $10,000 secured bond.


BRYANT, who was further served with eight outstanding arrest orders for failing to appear on other unrelated charges, was released after posting a $20,000 secured bond.
