Deputy saves kitten from a storm drain

Updated: Sep 20, 2019

- Escambia County, Florida, USA -

Deputy Sheriff C. Bowling was working on patrol last week and stopped at the Tom Thumb near Pace and Navy Boulevard in Pensacola for a drink.

As he was walking back to his vehicle, he heard a crying and turned on his flashlight to see what that was. He saw a helpless tiny kitten in a storm drain.

Deputy Bowling used some tuna to lure the kitten out but that didn’t work.

Eventually, he managed to get close enough and rescued this sweet furbaby who was dirty and flea-covered.

There was no sign of his mom around.

Deputy Bowling took the kitten to the vet to get him medical attention.

The vet said the kitten was rescued just in time or he wouldn’t have made it.

The last picture clearly shows the furbaby’s new home, Deputy Bowling’s face! That’s because Deputy Bowling and his wife have adopted this infinite sweetness and have named him Rambo.

Thank you for your big heart Deputy Bowling!
