Deaf and blind toy Poodle scooped up by a hawk found by a neighbor a few blocks away from her home

- Pennsylvania, USA -

On Thursday, February 20, a female toy Poodle was scooped up by a hawk who then flew off taking the pup away.

It happened while the deaf and blind pooch, a 16-year-old named Porschia, was out on the upper back deck of her family home in Whitehall.

Porschia’s mom, Ms. Deborah Falcione, gathered some friends to look for her furbaby but when after 28 hours there was no sign of her, Ms. Falcione lost hope and thought she was never going to see her again.

Surprisingly, on Friday, the Banfield Pet Hospital called her to say they had Porschia.

She was found by a neighbor after she was dropped by the hawk nearly four blocks away from her home.

A vet had her in a heating tank. She was very lethargic but had no broken bones.

Falcione said: “How she got away, I'll have no idea. How she survived it, I will never know. But I know one thing: By the grace of God, this dog is still alive."
