Dead and emaciated horses found on property near Winslow

According to a press release posted by the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, PAUL KINLECHEENIE has been arrested in connection with an animal cruelty case involving dead and emaciated horses.

On September 14, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to assist the Department of Agriculture with this case.

Deputies found in the man’s property in Winslow, four dead horses and nine emaciated ones.

The press release states that the nine emaciated horses were removed and are now in the care of a neighbor. The Department of Agriculture is making plans to pick them up later this week.

KINLECHEENIE was booked into the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook and charged with four felony counts of animal cruelty and nine misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.
