DAVEE RIDGEWAY gifted with a generous sentence despite starving her dogs one of whom died

On Monday, February 7, in Monroe County Court 21-years-old DAVEE RIDGEWAY (pictured below) pleaded guilty to three MISDEMEANOR counts of animal cruelty.
The charges stem from earlier this year when RIDGEWAY’s two dogs were discovered in poor condition and in need of medical attention.
Assistant Prosecutor Helen Yonak said the dogs were found to be without food or heat.
The Intelligencer reports that Yonak said: “She (Ridgeway) had contacted someone (a volunteer at a local animal shelter) because her dogs were sick and there was no heat in her house. When they came to get the dogs, they had not been fed and one of them had apparently eaten a bunch of the socks out of the laundry room, which obstructed its bowels.”
The shelter volunteers alerted the authorities to the situation.
Sadly, the furbaby who had an obstructed bowel died.
The other furbaby survived thanks to the veterinary care he/she received and was adopted out because RIDGEWAY signed over her rights to the animals to the shelter.
RIDGEWAY, of Lickskillet Road, Woodsfield, was immediately sentenced after entering the plea.
The subhuman was sentenced to only one year in jail but the judge suspended half of that meaning she will only be behind bars for six months.
RIDGEWAY will also be on probation for five years and is prohibited from owning animals or residing in a home with anyone who owns any animals for five years.
The judge generously allowed her time to put in her notice at work, so she is to self-report to Monroe County Jail on February 21, 2022.
Maybe the judge will also show up in jail and serve RIDGEWAY breakfast for the next six months.

When I look at that precious face & read she starved this beautiful soul to death & nearly killed the other I get so damn mad! The author had the perfect reply “Maybe the judge will also show up in jail & serve this Ridgeway breakfast for the next six month!” Until the prosecutors & judges take animal cruelty as serious as it actually is then these lowlives will continue to not give a damn about any animal souls. You can do better Judges! RIP PRECIOUS SOUL & please get better to the other soul.
