An early morning eviction at a home in the 600 block of Poppy Avenue in Macon turned into an investigation in dogfighting and animal cruelty.
Sgt. Clay Williams with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office said they received a call from the civil court sheriff on Wednesday, September 2.
Following the call, Animal Control Enforcement and sheriff’s investigators were dispatched to the address, and based on the evidence found, a search warrant was obtained and executed.
The ten dogs present in the property were removed and before being transported to the Macon Bibb Animal Shelter, they were assessed by veterinarians.
In connection with this case 62-year-old DALE FLUELLEN and his son 43-year-old CHRISTOPHER SHAWN FLUELLEN (both pictured below), were taken into custody on dog fighting and related conduct charges.
An additional dog present inside the home did not show signs of dogfighting or abuse, and, turned out to be the dog of someone who does not live there.
Father and son are being held without bond at Bibb County Jail.
They each face ten counts of Prohibited Dog Fighting and Related Conduct.
The female reporter with WGXA said that when she arrived, she saw “two gentlemen” who were taken into custody.
Voice For Us believes that those who use innocent animals to fight, making a dirty profit at the expense of animals, ARE NOT GENTLEMEN!!!
They are made of their own excrements!
