UPDATE: June 23, 2021

A homeless male who murdered a dog in May during a robbery attempt, and who Seattle police described as “aggressive, assaultive, and destructive,” is back in custody.

KIRO 7 reports that 29-year-old COURTNEY JAMAR WILLIAMS was booked into King County Jail on June 19, on first degree animal cruelty.

~ Original story:

If you murder an innocent animal in Seattle, just hope and pray that King County Superior Court judge MARCUS NAYLOR will be assigned to your case and rest assured he will NOT send you to jail!

29-year-old COURTNEY JAMAR WILLIAMS was extremely lucky that after taking the life of an innocent dog, judge NAYLOR put him back on the streets among us.

On Saturday, May 29, 67-year-old John Hickey was walking his 14-year-old dog, a Jack Russell terrier named Alice, in Pioneer Square near Courthouse Park when he was approached by a male, later identified as WILLIAMS.

WILLIAMS tried to rob Mr. Hickey’s jacket who in defense reached for his pepper spray.

WILLIAMS backed off at first, only to sprint back at Mr. Hickey and then kicked Alice so violently in the air that she landed upside down on the sidewalk.

Mr. Hickey was knocked to the ground and when he went to check on Alice, she died in his arms.

An extremely emotional Mr. Hickey told Q13News: “She looked at me confused……..She was all I needed.”

The filthy murderer fled the scene but was taken into custody the following day.

Seattle Daily Press reports that according to prosecution documents, the veterinarian who examined Alice said she suffered multiple severe fractures of the skull due to the force of the blow and fall.

The King County Prosecutor's Office argued that the attack was unprovoked and that the suspect is a danger to the community.

Despite prosecutors asking NAYLOR to hold WILLIAMS in jail on $25,000 bail, judge NAYLOR ordered WILLIAMS released from jail after only one day behind bars, reports KOMO NEWS.

Seattle police also objected to WILLIAMS’ release, saying they believe his escalating behavior will continue.

Furthermore, judge NAYLOR reduced the animal cruelty charge sought by the prosecution from a felony to a gross misdemeanor.

My Northwest reports that WILLIAMS failed to appear in court on June 3, to hear the animal cruelty charges.

An indictment is scheduled for June 17.

WILLIAMS remains at large.

Well done judge NAYLOR. I truly hope you will have the decency to take off that robe you so shamefully wear and disbar your own ass!
