The Biloxi Police Department arrested 33-year-old BRADFORD D. DUPLANTIS (pictured).
On the early morning of Saturday, April 4, 2026, at a home on Floyd Drive, as DUPLANTIS was involved in a fight with two other men, he intentionally crushed a two-and-a-half-week-old Husky puppy.
Police said the puppy sadly died at the home.
Hours later, officers with the Biloxi Police Department responded to a medical call in the 300 block of Jim Money Road, in reference to a male suffering from “life-threatening” injuries. That male was DUPLANTIS who was able to escape and seek help knocking on the door of a residence on Jim Money Road.
DUPLANTIS turned himself in at the Biloxi Police Department on an active felony warrant for aggravated cruelty to a dog. Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set a $25,000 bond and DUPLANTIS was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
At the time of writing, records show DUPLANTIS is still in custody.
