ANTHONY JOHN TODT convicted of killing the family dog, his wife, and their three young children

- Florida, USA -

On the evening of Thursday, April 14, after over six hours of deliberation, a 12-member jury found 46-years-old ANTHONY JOHN TODT (pictured) guilty of one count of animal cruelty and four counts of first-degree murder.

TODT, a physical therapist from Connecticut, killed the family dog named Breezy, his wife Megan, and their children 4-years-old Zoe, 11-years-old Tyler, and 13-years-old Aleksander in December 2019.

He was arrested on January 13, 2020, after FBI agents and Osceola County deputies showed up at his home in Celebration, Florida, on health care fraud charges related to his business.

Once inside, they discovered decomposing bodies of his family.

TODT told investigators he had suffocated Breezy.

At the Osceola County Courthouse in Kissimmee TODT was sentenced to one year in county jail for Breezy’s murder, while for the killing of his wife and children he received a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

Before sentencing, Judge Keith Carsten said to TODT: “You are a destroyer of worlds.”

TODT will have 30 days to appeal his sentencing.
