SCANDALOUS UPDATE on 20-year-old ABDULRAZZAQ SALAH MUSTAFA (pictured below).
On Wednesday, February 12, MUSTAFA was in Ingham County Circuit Court in connection with an incident that left his 8-month-old dog named Champ with severe leg injuries.
Champ, a mixed-breed pup chocolate-colored fur, had been repeatedly slammed to the ground by the accused for getting into the trash.
The furbaby was taken to the Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) on October 1, 2018, unable to use his back right leg and needed to undergo surgery.
When he arrived at the shelter, he was so fearful of the human touch that he peed on himself and his injured leg was bleeding.
Champ was in excruciating pain.
Julia Wilson, president and CEO of CAHS said: “The femur was shattered. His back leg was broken in so many places that it had to be put back together like a puzzle would. He needed a device on the outside of his leg to hold it together.”
In court MUSTAFA’s girlfriend revealed that her boyfriend routinely beat the pup.
In November MUSTAFA was charged with second-degree killing or torturing an animal, a felony offense that carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison upon conviction.
However, this is NOT what judge James S. Jamo handed down.
ABDULRAZZAQ SALAH MUSTAFA WILL NOT SPEND A DAY IN JAIL!!!
Ingham County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nattalie Macomber said to judge Jamo: "He used unreasonable and unjustifiable anger to slam the dog onto the floor." She added: "Champ is learning he can trust human touch, does not have to fear physical assault and can depend on those who care for him."
These words did not matter to judge Jamo who sentenced the defendant to three years of probation, anger management, domestic violence counseling, and a psychologist exam.
If MUSTAFA does not complete the terms of his sentencing, he could serve up to seven years in prison.
The judge also said he could be deported because he is not a U.S. citizen.
I bet MUSTAFA is loving America!
