A boy, whose identity remains unrevealed because of his age, intentionally threw a defenseless 3-year-old Chihuahua down a flight of stairs and is now in custody.
The Ontario County Humane Society officers said the incident happened on September 18, at a home in Naples.
Reportedly, the juvenile does not live there, he was visiting someone.
The furbaby was taken to a veterinarian in critical condition. He suffered a brain injury.
The pup has been discharged and is back home with his family.
The young criminal has been charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty and the case will be dealt with by Ontario County Family Court.
